Mao’s career has been dedicated to the development and deployment of innovative software communications solutions in rapidly growing markets, transforming high potential businesses into true world-beating organizations. His track record for enabling innovation, his deep knowledge of telecom related technology and his wealth of experience in a range of operational and marketing roles provide a strong leadership base from which to enhance Comviva’s position as the leading provider of integrated VAS solutions in emerging markets globally.

Business Experience

Prior to joining Comviva, Mao was President and COO at Aricent, where he enjoyed a 15 year career and was instrumental in building the company from a relative start up to a globally recognized brand, with over US$300 million in revenues. At Aricent, Mao led teams in the areas of R&D, product management, operations, and sales and marketing, gaining hands-on experience and in-depth knowledge of the software and communications industries and honing his leadership talent. Before moving to Aricent, Mao was a core member of the Center for Development of Telematics (CDOT), where he made a significant contribution to research and development in telecom switching, and where he began his career. Mao has been recognized with prestigious 'Distinguished Fellow' award by The Institute of Directors (IOD) in the year 2012 and in 2013 he was named “India’s Top 20 CEO 2013” by Haryana IT, Telecom, and Enabled industries Confederation (HITEC) India for spearheading the company's growth as an industry leader and for setting benchmarks in the mobile VAS industry.

Education

Mao holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Electrical Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani.

Sandyp Bhattacharya

EVP and Chief - People & Knowledge

Sandyp is EVP and Chief - People & Knowledge, Comviva Technologies; the product flagship company of TechMahindra; where he leads the HR function, apart from providing executive sponsorship to IT and Administration.

Sandyp’s personal vision is to evolve self continuously while influencing positive change, unhindered by any boundaries. He loves mentoring empowered & capable teams; and believes in building trusted relationships with stakeholders. He is a strong advocate of business KPIs led people initiatives. Sandyp likes to thrive in ambiguous & demanding work situations; with a focus on simple user experiences, backed by out-of-the-box solutions approach.

Sandyp brings multi-industry capability across very large scale to entrepreneurship driven start up environments; spread between manufacturing/process industry, consulting, technology, fin-tech, payments and analytics domain. Prior to Comviva, his HR career has been with dominant players like Aricent Technologies (Altran), Satyam Computers ( TechMahindra) and IPCL- Reliance (Reliance Industries). At Comviva his role includes being closely involved in nurturing the multiple-start ups /incubation environment. He has further been the executive sponsor to two start-ups, one of which was in the Mobile Learning & Engagement domain. He was awarded a joint patent in this space.

Sandyp has been involved in extensive leadership journeys at a global level, covering complex areas like competency framework implementation & management, Compensation for over 50 countries, Transformation & Change Management, Performance Management, M&A - due diligence and integration; Leadership & Talent Development ; and integrated HR Systems implementation across large IT applications landscapes.

Sandyp has many ‘youngest firsts’ to his credit. At Aricent, while setting up the Corporate HR Function, he became one of the youngest leaders in a truly global role. Still at Aricent, he was one of the youngest professionals to win the CEO’s Global award. Additionally, he was among the youngest HR professionals in the industry to occupy a Management leadership position, when he became part of Comviva’s Apex Leadership Team in 2008. Under his leadership, the organization has won several prestigious people awards like ‘Great Places to Work Top 25 Women Employer’, Brandon Hall, UK -Learning Award, Multiple CSR awards, International Tech Culture Award by TMCnet, etc. He has also been individually awarded several times(Top 50 HR Leaders, Top 50 Tech Minds, Most Influential HR Professional, etc).

Sandyp holds a Masters degree in (Personnel) Management, from Pune University. Over the years, he has contributed to HR field through articles, interviews and panel discussions in print, digital and electronic media.

Sandyp loves to read and write fiction and non-fiction. In his writings, he touches upon myriad aspects, while criss-crossing between genres. Sandyp enjoys watching movies and thrives on music.

Neeraj Jain

Chief Financial Officer

Neeraj is an ardent believer of a “growth”-centric approach, the cultural aspects of an organization and facilitating change for the better.

Business Experience

He brings to the table over 17 years of experience in new business, finance and talent development, largely spanning the technology and ITeS sectors. Prior to joining Comviva, he worked at Microsoft for over six years. During this time, he played multiple roles, which helped him build sound leadership, business and financial acumen. His last role was that of Group Finance Controller for Microsoft India.

Prior to Microsoft, his other stints include Convergys and Jubilant.

He is a qualified Chartered Accountant and Company Secretary.

Manishkumar Murlimanohar Vyas

Non-Executive Director, Comviva & President Communication, Media and Entertainment Business & CEO, Network Services, Tech Mahindra

Manish Vyas is the President, Communications, Media & Entertainment Business, and the CEO, Network Services, at Tech Mahindra – the Technology arm of the Mahindra Group. An accomplished leader with extensive expertise and experience across global markets, Manish has led large and diverse global programs during his 26-year career. He is known for his ability of building high performance teams, and for driving profitability & growth through innovative solutions & go-to-market strategies.

He has been associated with Tech Mahindra for more than 19 years and played a key role in taking Tech Mahindra’s Telecom services business to wider geographies and a diverse clientele.
He has been involved in creating the strategic direction to the Telecom & the Networks Services business and in driving various Organic & Inorganic growth initiatives. Manish has co-authored Technology papers on ‘Network Innovation’ with CXOs of Networks-based companies, and published several blogs on the Future of the CSPs.

Jagdish Mitra

Non-Executive Director, Comviva & Head of Strategy, Tech Mahindra

Profile

Jagdish Mitra is a Non-Executive Director at Comviva and Heads the Strategy for Tech Mahindra and along with it responsible for new growth businesses at Tech Mahindra. He served as the CEO of CanvasM, the mobility unit of Tech Mahindra founded in 2006 as a joint venture with Motorola and was heading the Large Deals Business of TechM before taking up this role.

Jagdish has over 20 years of IT industry experience in the areas of business development and marketing in the global information services market. He has handled several responsibilities within Tech Mahindra for the last 20 years, including opening up new markets like North America, Middle East and Asia along with the Global Marketing function and has been actively involved in building several strategic business relationships with key accounts for Tech Mahindra worldwide.

Jagdish holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Applications from Birla Institute of Technology and a Masters in Business Administration from the University of London.

Vivek Satish Agarwal

Non-Executive Director, Comviva & the Global Head of Corporate Development and Portfolio Companies, Tech Mahindra

Vivek Satish Agarwal is a Non-Executive Director at Comviva and the Global Head of Corporate Development and Portfolio Companies for Tech Mahindra. He also responsible for creating a robust and differentiated portfolio of offerings for Tech Mahindra including effective integration and realization of synergies and business objectives.

Vivek has been with Tech Mahindra since 2004 and took a 2-year sabbatical in between to create an early-stage technology venture. He has been an integral part of Tech Mahindra’s journey over the last 15 years, leading and structuring some of the largest multi-year outsourcing deals and some of marquee acquisitions. Previously, he was the Managing Director of Tech Mahindra’s European Telecom business.

Vivek pursued Bachelor of Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology from Ranchi and Post-Graduation from IIM, Kolkata.

Rajat Mukherjee

In this capacity, his areas of expertise include acquisitions, joint ventures and cross-border transactions. Prior to his current role, he worked with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP at their New York and Hong Kong offices.

Rajat Mukherjee is currently an Independent Director at Comviva and a partner in the Merger and Acquisition Practice Group at Khaitan & Co. In this capacity, his areas of expertise include acquisitions, joint ventures and cross-border transactions. Prior to his current role, he worked with Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP at their New York and Hong Kong offices.

His clientele span several sectors, including media (print and digital), information technology and information technology enabled services, defence, logistics, pharmaceuticals, education and retail. A notable recent transaction was advising the Blackstone Group on its investment in Jagran Prakashan Limited and the subsequent acquisition by Jagran of Naidunia, a Madhya Pradesh daily.

Sunita Umesh

Independent Director, Comviva & Senior partner, UCC & Associates LLP

In this capacity, her areas of function include conversion of existing Indian GAAP accounts into IFRS compliant ones, the COSO Framework, including framing of policies and procedures and SOX narratives.

Sunita Umesh is currently an Independent Director at Comviva and senior partner at UCC & Associates LLP. In this capacity, her areas of function include conversion of existing Indian GAAP accounts into IFRS compliant ones, the COSO Framework, including framing of policies and procedures and SOX narratives.

Prior to her current role, she worked at AF Fergusons and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. She brings to the table over 25 years of work experience in the field of chartered accountancy. During this time, her areas of expertise included finance, tax, compliance and corporate governance. Other areas of focus included providing audit and consulting services relating to Indian GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP. She also renders consulting and advisory services relating to various other areas like SOX and COSO Framework, corporate risk management, FEMA, company law, expatriate taxation, direct and indirect taxation and transfer pricing

She is a qualified Chartered Accountant, a qualified and licensed Certified Public Accountant and a Certified Information System Auditor. She holds a graduation degree in commerce from Delhi University.
